You look at some handwritten pages of typical gothic poetry written by the mistress of this house, with author's notes. The first four 'books' are sometimes referenced in the Empty World universe as being the titles of albums by the fictional band Robert's Pill. The fifth book is often referenced in that same series as an album by the fictional band Velvet.
>drop poetry
Eighteen poems written from April 1988 through April 1990. Teen angst and lonliness leading into poems which are written in the voices of characters. Puntuation and capitolization are just thrown away, but line breaks are important. Very little rhyming
Twelve poems probably written sometime in the summer of 1990, though it is possible some were written into 1991. Several clearly show symptoms of Depression, others are written in the voices of characters, anger and bitterness are more obvious than gloom here. No clear rhyming, though one 'poem' has a repeating 'chorus' and might have been written as lyrics.
Eleven poems, written at various periods, probably all in the '90s, or possibly in 1989. Various inspiration and type.
Ten poems. At least half are inspired by Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. The rest are some kind of gnostic-like sentiment about escaping the flesh or mortal shell and obtaining release through death. Rather nonsensical puntuation.
Poesy 5: Within the Charm of the Mysteries

Five poems. Mostly written in character voices as song lyrics to fictional songs. Likely written in the mid 1990s.
One poem which tells a story in rhyming couplets.
